While shooting for Vogue, the lovely lady said it was a ‘wonderful’ experience as Vogue always comes up with classy covers.
Those who have watched Raavan (or even its trailer) would agree that the high-cliff dive that Abhishek’s Beera takes from the lofty mountains to the gurgling water hundreds of feet below was a visual delight. But at the same time it was very risky and extremely dangerous and, in no situation, would a non-stuntman like Abhishek go ahead with it.
In that rocky terrain and gushing backwaters, one false move and death was guaranteed unless it is performed by a stuntman.
However, in the interviews leading up to the release of Raavan, Abhishek maintained that he, himself, had performed that dare devilry. But, MS Balram, a former national diving champion, claims that it was he who had performed the death-defying stunt.
Balram says, “I am not here to create any controversy or to attract publicity because personally, I am a big fan of the Bachchans. I just want Mani Ratnam Sir’s movie to do well. But, it is also true that I was paid for doing the stunt and I am proud that I could do it.”
Whereas Abhishek had stated, “I went ahead to do the dive scenes myself even though Mani Ratnam opposed it.”
Now, a few questions that have come up are: How do we expect Abhishek’s parents to permit him to do such a life-threatening stunt when they don’t even allow him to ride a bike? Why would his makers allow him to gamble with gravity? Besides, the jump was perfectly balanced and postured (something that only an expert stuntman could do at one take). Shall we accept that Abhishek gave several re-takes to perfect that plunge?

Both Aishwarya and Abhishek are in the filmy duniya, and will obviously have a very busy work schedual. This busy work schedual plays the devil and keeps them away from each other.
Recently, Aishwarya Rai was in Paris for the French Open, she missed hubby Abhishek badly that as soon as she was back in Mumbai, she headed at the venue where Abhi was doing a press interviews.
Wonder what Abhi’s reaction might have been… But the entire media was really suprised seeing Aish there. Generally the actress doesn’t accompany Abhishek when he is working.
A source said, “This time she made an exception because she was missing Abhishek all the way from Paris to Mumbai.”
But Aish and Abhi do not worry.You’ll can spend loads of time together while promoting ‘Raavan’.
Abhishek Bachchan has no doubt come a long way from where he started a decade back. Though he has managed to please the audience and critics in many of films over the years, his father still believes he can do better.
Apparently when Amitabh Bachchan saw the promo of Raavan for the first time, he quite liked it.
“My father patted on my back and said well done,” says a cheerful Abhsihek. “And then he turned back and said Aishwarya was better than I was!” he laughs out.
He added saying,
“She is one of the best actors we have in the film industry and her work for herself. I don’t compete with her or anybody else. I just compete with myself,”.
Don’t worry Abhi!!! A day is not very far when you would be at par with your wife.
It was a very proud moment indeed when I saw Sachin Tendulkar become the only cricketer in ODI cricket history to make double century and our Bollywood folks also rejoiced and cheered Sachins performance on Twitter.Read below:
